Dr. James Summa is an interventional radiologist and former partner of White Rock Radiology, where he treated patients throughout the East Dallas area for more than 14 years. In his free time, Dr. James Summa enjoys following professional basketball and is a season ticket holder of the Dallas Mavericks.
This October, the Dallas Mavericks are prepared to kick off the 2015-2016 season by bringing back the Mavs Run This Town 5K. At its inaugural launch last year, the event attracted more than 2,100 runners and countless fans at the American Airlines Center, raising a total of $40,000 in support of the Mavs Foundation. As a direct result, the Mavs Foundation was able to purchase 12,000 meals for children at a local homeless shelter, fund vision screenings and eyeglasses, and support therapy services for children with learning delays.
In addition to featuring a fast, flat course through Victory Park and the Design District with tiered awards, the Mavs Run This Town 5K also includes a 2015-2016 Mavs home game ticket free entry into the post-run party. In partnership with Luke’s Locker, the Dallas Mavericks will also host a variety of free, noncompetitive social events leading up to race day.
